Tornado State of Mind

Hello!  My husband, Leo, downloaded FAIRY CIRCLE on May 8, 2011.  Since then we've been friending and blog building and flyer creating.  I wanted to start the blog at several different points but  unbelievable things kept happening-things that left me paralyzed and staring out in space for great sections of time.  My mother died several days ago, cancer, and of course, like everyone in the world, we weren't prepared for our mother's death.  With the shock of that still very, very fresh, a horrible storm swept through Massachusetts on June 1st, and with it, huge tornadoes that caused great devastation-some of it right down the street from me.  We'll post some video.  On the news this morning the reporter said this was the worst storm since the 1950's.  80 structures in Springfield destroyed, 76 in Monson, hundreds of people injured and four people who died.  Terrible stories reported that make me just sit here and cry.  When I set out with giddy anticipation wondering "what will I blog about?" I never imagined true horror would find me and make everything so simple.

  1. How dreadful, Johanna. What can I say? I know the pain of losing a mother. The devastation of the tornado is something I've never experienced, but I think I can at least imagine some part of the horror. All my sympathy and prayers go out to you.
    love,
    Gerry.

  2. Thanks so much for your comforting words,Gerry. Isn't this your Irish cliff here as my blog wall? It was an appropriate background as I have a number of cliff scenes in FAIRY CIRCLE and because it's exquisite!

  3. Oh my goodness, you poor poor thing. Losing a parent is awful and I'm sending huge hugs across the ocean. And all that, followed by a tornado ... Surely it's time for a bit of luck now xxx

    PS. Nice book montage ;)
